Template:Infobox/Mobile Weapon Ver.2 The AEU-MA07007 Agrissa Type 7 (aka Agrissa), is a mobile armor used in the 5th Solar Wars, that can dock with a EU-05/00 AEU Hellion Medium. It first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam 00P Second Season. The unit was piloted by Fon Spaak.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
The Agrissa is originally a hover carrier that served as a transport capable of carrying and supplying either 2 flight type mobile suits or 1 hover tank MA. However, variants of the mobile armor is later developed for other use. The Agrissa Type 7 is developed for defending the AEU's orbital elevator and is armed with a plasma field, a plasma cannon and two carbon claws. The plasma field harms only the pilot or any personnels within the enemy machine, thus this reduces the likelihood of the enemy machine exploding and damaging the orbital elevator. The plasma cannon provides the mobile armor with a more lethal weapon if the plasma field is not enough, while the carbon claws are strong enough to disable the thickly armored HRL units. The two protrusions on the side of the Agrissa unit are energy receiver antennas. In case, the Agrissa is about to be destroyed the pilot can eject itself by detaching its mobile suit from the mobile armor. The Hellion that is docked with the Agrissa Type 7 has shorter wings and can use a linear cannon as its handheld weapon.
Armament
- Plasma Field
- The plasma field is not designed to destroy the enemy machine, rather it is for harming the enemy pilot. The plasma field is generated by the 4 disc-shaped generators present on the inner surface of the mobile armor's legs. Hence, the Agrissa has to surround the enemy machine with its legs before it can use the plasma field. When deployed, a field of ionized gas surrounds the trapped enemy machine and acts as a conductive medium for an intense electrical discharge. This discharge creates non-destructive interference with the enemy machine's electrical systems as well as causing great pain to the pilot or any personnel within. The electrical discharge can reach lethal levels if the Agrissa pilot so chooses.
- Plasma Cannon
- Mounted below the front portion of the mobile armor, the plasma cannon's attack power is beyond those of a mobile suit. The plasma cannon can be used in conjunction with the plasma field if required, and this allows the destruction of the trapped enemy machine, something that the plasma field cannot.
- Carbon Claw
- The pair of carbon claw serves as the mobile armor's primary close combat weapon, and are powerful enough to disable the thickly armored HRL units.
- Linear Cannon
- A weapon used by the Hellion Medium docked to the Agrissa Type 7, it can be powered by the Agrissa's huge electrical power reserve. This cannon is larger and more powerful than the standard Linear Rifle. Consequently, it can successfully engage enemies at greater than normal ranges.
History
To capture the GN-XXX Gundam Rasiel, Fon Spaak and his group of mercenaries laid a trap for it in the desert and borrowed several weapons from the AEU, including the mobile armor "Agrissa Type 7". The Gundam Rasiel later appeared and easily shot down several of the group's Hellions. The remaining Hellions then retreated, leaving the Agrissa Type 7 alone. Fon then leaves the mobile armor with both his hands raised as a sign of surrender. As the Gundam closes in, Fon uses the remote control in his hand to make the Argissa Type 7 jumps towards it and trap it between the mobile armors' legs. Fon had known from the beginning that the Hellions are no match for the Gundam, and that tricking the opponent into letting his/her guard down was the only way to win. The Agrissa Type 7 deployed its plasma field, but the Gundam's pilot managed to endure the intense pain and pulled the trigger. The Agrissa was destroyed by the Gundam's beam shot, but Fon managed to escape by jumping down from the machine.
Later on, during the events of 2312 A.D, the Agrissa Type 7 and other outdated mobile weapons would be utilized by independent organizations such as Katharon.
