The 8th Space War is a conflict from the After War timeline, featured in After War Gundam X. The war was fought between the New United Nations Earth (New UNE), Space Revolutionary Army (SRA), and the crew of the Freeden II in A.W. 0015 as the three factions raced to gain control of a lunar-based defense structure called D.O.M.E. in order to gain access to the Satellite System.

Prelude[]

The War[]

With the aid of the GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X, piloted by Garrod Ran, the crew of the Freeden II were able to make contact with D.O.M.E. and the intelligence living within it. D.O.M.E. used its own Bit Mobile Suits in order to direct the New UNE leader and SRA leader, Fixx Bloodman and Seidel Rasso, to land their respected flagships in large docking bays along with the Freeden II in order to hold a conference. As the conference was being held, a ceasefire was issued by all sides. However, this ceasefire was broken by Shagia and Olba Frost, who assassinate both the New UNE and SRA leaders after they leave the conference in order to continue the fighting for their own purposes. The war was brought to an end as Garrod uses his Gundam Double X to destroy D.O.M.E. and the Satellite Launcher of the Frost Brothers, along with their mobile suits.

Aftermath[]

Six months later, in May of AW 0016, the New U.N.E. and S.R.A. met in space to negotiate, despite continued fighting.

Following the final battle, the crew of the Freeden II disbanded. Garrod and Tiffa began traveling the world. As Garrod and Tiffa ride the train, they listen to a news report about negotiations between the New U.N.E. and the S.R.A. proceeding despite the continued fighting. There have been small conflicts around the world between the two forces. and there continues to be tension between them. Jamil and Sara join the U.N.E. and participate in the negotiations where they met with Lancerow. Kid, Pala, Shingo, Rococo, and Nine opened a mechanic shop named Freeden III. Techs began working at a war hospital for both U.N.E and S.R.A. patients. Witz, Toniya, Roabea, and Ennil began their civilian lives.
