Ζeta - Toki wo Koete (Z・刻をこえて; Zeta - Transcending Times) is a song by Mami Ayukawa and it was the first opening theme to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Along with the second theme, the opening's staff included animators Hiroyuki Kitazume, Shinsuke Terasawa and Yasuomi Umetsu, art by Tetsuto Shimono and storyboards by Yasuhiro Imagawa.

- Zeta - Toki wo Koete was composed by American composer Neil Sedaka based on Better Days are Coming song. Due to copyright restrictions this song was replaced by Zeta no Kodou ~ Zeta Gundam (Ζの鼓動～Ζガンダム; Zeta's Pulse~Zeta Gundam) in the USA releases.
