-40 years isn't recent. The Origin OVAs were mostly backstory to the original series, the manga retold the plot with some enhancements and edits. They called them both Origin, but the manga is what I mean, adapting that retelling for a full series, I don't know if I was being clear.-
-It'd be essentially the same as a remastering, with the benefit of cutting out some of the unnecessary bits, like the G Armor.-
Oh okay I'm sorry, yes I would want a MSG:O, properly done it would be nice
And I meant a remake of MSG0079 would feel too recent, not the MSG0079 itself
Definitely 00, I was and am shocked by its quality and the GUNDAM in it.
I agree with many people here, the old feel of 0079 is great, but a remaster redoing the animation would be nice. I mean, I'd spend my money.
-Can't agree more. I like the vintage animation, it doesn't bother me. But cleaning it up a bit with a remaster, or a one-to-one adaptation of the Origin manga would be great. Neither are likely, so I'll hold out hope for some future OVAs adapting some of the great manga storylines. I'd wanted a Thunderbolt adaptation from the time I read the first scanlated chapter... six years ago by now? But that got adapted so anything's a possibility.-
Which Gundam Manga do you guys recommend? I'm reading MSV-R RoJR now, it's quite interesting but I need more...
-That's a great one. Gihren Ansatsu Keikaku [The Plot to Assassinate Gihren] is good too, same artist/author duo as Return of Johnny Ridden. Only four volumes or so. Inspired in part on actual attempts in WWII Germany to overthrow the political and military leaders in charge from within so they could force a surrender. Portrait of a Young Comet is good, follows Char between the end of the One Year War until just before the Gryps Conflict of Zeta. I like Ecole du Ciel, but it isn't for everyone. Follows students at a military school training pilots a couple years before Gryps. The Origin is a great retelling of the original series, and the sequel Zeta Gundam Define is a great retelling of Zeta. If none of those grab you, let me know and I'll recommend others.-
No, they're fine, but where do you read them?
