I recently started watching mobile suit gundam wing and want to start building Gunpla models what paints and models should I get?
What’s your favorite color? Do you like organic or geometric shapes? What kind of weapons do you like? And you should probably start with Gundam markers, I’m using acrylics
I wouldn"t recommend painting with gundam markers. Start out just learning how to properly cut, put together, remove nubs and so on. When you get into customizing, start out learning panel lining and painting. Good kits to first build are High Grade kits like the Leo. SD kits are good to start off with as well but they're not everyones' cup of tea.
Tamiya acrylics are great for painting
Thanks Christopher, I was just saying what paint he should start with,
Here is the shows in order:
Universal Century Full list:
Mobile Suit Gundam
Igloo’s 1, 2, 3
War in the Pocket 0080
8th MS Team
Stardust Memory 0083
Char’s Counter Attack
Recongista of G
Then all the alternate Universes
Gundam Seed/Gundam Seed Destiny
All the Build Fighters
Iron Blooded Orphans
But Turn A is where they all converge at the end...
If your on wing it would be beneficial to try where you started. A good kit to start with would be the hgac wing gundam zero. It retails around 17 usd. All you need is some nippers and an exacting knife to start there. Do a little research on panel lining and you’ll figure something out.
Here is the tools that I use
What do you think?
